Companion is a wearable sculpture, with 'senses' relating to proximity, ambient light and touch . When Companion is activated, a continuous stream of data from each of these is sent wirelessly, to be interpreted by the device which receives them. In the case of our performance, the data was used in a custom sound engine to manipulate various parameters - such as pitch, delay time and LFO rate.
The antennas comprise the touch element, with the LED lights at their tip changing hue when human skin makes contact.
